Seoul_to

Wow...what a crazy last couple of days. After being just MILDLY hungover, yet again, on Sun., I struggled to get my things packed and soon my new boss (for at least a month) came to pick me up. I'm now at the English Friends branch in Uijeongbu (We-jong-boo) and I've been teaching regular classes for the last 2 days. No more camp. This time I'm dealing with kindergarten kids until around 1:30 and then teach a bit older kids starting at 3 every day. The kinders are a handful, but they seem to understand a lot. I'm just not used to having to speak "kid" talk yet. I'm working on things though. Maybe by the end of this month I'll be singing and dancing around like the other teachers. Wow....not really me, but you never know. I've been trying to just get used to the schedule and everybody doing their own thing. Oh, I forgot. The reason I may only be at this branch for only a month is that I'm covering for a girl that's on vacation for a while. With me, there are 3 western teachers. They say they need a 4th though, so if I like it here and things work out ok, I could end up just staying. The bad news is I'd have to move again though. I'm staying in the room of the girl that's on vacation.
Oh....so I'm living in an apartment now with another teacher from the school. He's been pretty nice. It's nice to be in a real place with someone else to talk to. He's a rather tall Canadian from the Vancouver area. He been pretty helpful though with any questions. I chuckle every once in a while though when the "ey" comes out when he's speaking. I know though....I'm no one to even talk....like the WI accent couldn't be mocked a bit too....

Uijeoungbu isn't in Seoul either. I kinda forgot to mention that. It's just next to it to the north. It's a bit more rural, but I'm liking it so far. The only thing is that I've noticed already that I don't think import foods will be available here. Oh well. Seoul is just a subway ride away. Next time I head in, I'll pick up some stuff then. I don't think it'll be that bad though. I like the Korean food I've had so far. It'd could be much much worse.

That's about all I have time for for now. I don't have email anymore at my new place and what I'm using now is at school. One of these days I'll find time to answer all the email I've been getting. I do appreciate getting them.
